GP Flooring Solutions Hosts YouthBuild Job-Site Tour at Churchview Commons
GP Flooring Solutions recently welcomed participants from the Urban League of Rochester’s YouthBuild program to an active job site at Churchview Commons, a two-story, 45-unit affordable housing project in Rochester, NY. The visit was part of our ongoing commitment to introducing the next generation to careers in the construction industry.
Hands-On Exposure to the Trades
In partnership with Home Leasing and Haynes Construction Company, the project’s general contractor, GP Flooring Solutions hosted a guided site tour and informational session. Participants had the opportunity to see a live construction environment, learn how different trades collaborate, and gain practical insight into the many career paths available within construction.
Experiences like these provide real-world context that goes beyond the classroom, helping participants better understand the scope and opportunities within the industry.
